Ulrick, Ripley and Björkly Nordström Back for the Steeldogs on Friday at ICE Sheffield
The Steeldogs will be boosted by the return of Finlay Ulrick, Nathan Ripley and Ivan Björkly Nördstrom this Friday as they take on Peterborough Phantoms at Ice Sheffield at 7.30pm
The three players, all on Steelers – Steeldogs two way contracts spent time this weekend with the Steelers at home against Coventry and in Dundee, helping achieve a 4 point weekend.
“It will be good to have the trio back with us on Friday” said Jonathan Phillips “It’s a great experience for them having time up in the Elite League, they will and are benefiting from their time training and playing with them
“However, it’s always great for us when they all come back and play with us, it makes such a difference and means we can go all out against Peterborough on Friday
“Finn has spent the most time with the Steelers and rightly so, he is an Elite League player now and it’s fantastic that he gains more ice time with us at the Steeldogs
“I’m pleased that both Nathan and Ivan, following his early injury, have also seen ice recently with the Steelers
“It does two things, one, they come back with a bounce in their step and that helps us, they are coming from a quicker and more skilled environment. Also, it encourages the other youngsters here at the Steeldogs that if they continue to work hard and progress their time will come”
