The Bradfield Brewery Sheffield Steeldogs are pleased to announce the arrival of two promising young talents on two–way contracts.
Tate Shudra will be the second in the Shudra family to pull on a Steeldogs jersey, following in brother Cole’s footsteps. The 18-year-old had been part of the Sheffield system from a young age and, Tate spent season 21/22 skating with both the Titans and Scimitars before the Leeds Knights took him to West Yorkshire. Last year was split between Leeds and the Blackburn Hawks.
This season Tate will be playing with the Blackburn Hawks and the Steeldogs on a two-way. We look forward to seeing him in a Dogs shirt and seeing another Shudra gracing the ice in Sheffield.
Ben Cutts joins the Dogs on a two-way contract with Sheffield Academy U18s. Ben has worked his way through the Sheffield system, last season he played regularly with the Titans but also got the chance to skate with the Scimitars. The 17-year-old has shown he knows the way to goal, scoring 22 goals in his appearances last season for his respective teams.
This is a great opportunity to develop younger players through the season and follow their progress as part of two teams.
Welcome to the Steeldogs Tate and Ben.
Tate will wear #98, Ben will wear #75.
Thanks to MF Hire who will be sponsoring Ben.
